Call for Review of Dispersed Organic Matter in Sedimentary Rocks WG Manuscript

Dear Members of the ICCP Commission II,

As mentioned at the last 2023 ICCP Meeting in Patras, the Convenors of the Dispersed Organic Matter in Sedimentary Rocks WG are in the final stages of preparing two review papers on the application of DOM microscopy in geological studies. The two manuscripts are entitled: “The petrology of dispersed organic matter in sedimentary rocks: review and update” (Manuscript 1-Gonçalves et al.), and “Applications of dispersed organic matter petrology in the 21st century: a review” (Manuscript 2-Kus et al.).

The Convenors have completed the draft of Manuscript 1 entitled: “The petrology of dispersed organic matter in sedimentary rocks: review and update”, by Gonçalves, P.A., Kus, J., Hackley, P.C., Borrego, A.G., Hámor-Vidó, M., Kalkreuth, W., Mendonça Filho, J.G., Petersen, H.I., Pickel, W., Reinhardt, M.J., Suárez-Ruiz, I., ICCP, and would like to request your collaboration in the review process.

This manuscript will be submitted to the International Journal of Coal Geology (IJCG).

The target submission date is April/May of 2024, so the Convenors would like to receive your reviews by April 14.

The manuscript for review will only be available to you upon request.
